The mastermind behind this landscape is Elsie Cornish, a celebrated garden designer renowned for her distinctive use of colors and arrangement. The grounds proudly boast one of Australia’s grandest oak trees, beneath whose branches people have enjoyed picnics for well over a century.

Recognised as an International Camellia Garden of Excellence by the International Camellia Society in 2012, these gardens hold a special place. While spring sees the camellias burst into full bloom, the garden’s enchantment is available to visitors throughout the entire year.

Parking: 

Limited parking is now available on the grounds, which can be accessed via the Edgeware Road entrance. Please note that priority will be given to disabled visitors.

There is some verge parking outside the gates, and guests/vendors can park after business hours at Thomas Gas.

There is 14x off road car parks along on Euston Road, bus side and across from The Hutt Community Centre.

There are also 7-9 verge parking next to The Hut Community Centre.

There are 16 car paces at the Hut Community Shed/Train Stop.

A car park is also found at the Aldgate Shopping Centre, along Mount Barker Road.
